Rebecca Cokley Policy Assistant to the Director of Disability, Administration on Community Living, U.S. Department of Health & Human Services

 

Rebecca Cokley recently joined the US Administration for Community Living (ACL) as a policy level assistant to Henry Claypool, Director of the Office on Disability and principal deputy administrator of the ACL. Rebecca Cokley previously served as the Director of Priority Placement for Public Engagement in the Presidential Personnel Office at the White House where she was responsible for outreaching to diversity and minority organizations to recruit qualified individuals for roles in the Obama Adminsitration. Prior to her time at the White House, Rebecca worked as the Confidential Assistant to the Assistant Secretary for the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services. For the past 15 years she has dedicated her career to improving transition outcomes for at-risk youth with groups including the Institute for Educational Leadership, the National Center for Cultural Competence, the American Association of People with Disabilities, and the Leadership Conference for Civil and Human Rights. She has a B.A in Political Science from the University of California Santa Cruz, and is the proud mother of Jackson.
